Practise to Give is a form of modern karma yoga to raise awareness of blind spots in our society and cultivate the virtue of giving back.
In 2018, Jeremy started a charity initiative, Practise to Give, with Ryan and Elaine. Practise to Give adopts a beneficiary for the year and commits all awareness raising and fundraising yoga events to this recipient organisation. Yoga practitioners, sponsors, and beneficiary gather at these sell-out events to practise giving back to areas of need in our society.
If you are a studio or business owner or a beneficiary and would like to be a part of Practise to Give 2019, the crew will be pleased to hear from you. Please drop the team a message using the contact form above.
Hold your hat. 2019 sessions will be released soon.
The Guide Dogs Singapore Ltd, the beneficiary for Practise to Give 2018, helps the visually impaired enhance their quality of life by providing mobility training to the blind or visually impaired and making inroads for guide dog access with building owners, food establishments and regulators. Through Practise to Give 2018, we hope to help create awareness in the yoga community on The Guide Dogs Singapore Ltd’s efforts on integrating the blind and visually challenged into society.
The Practise to Give crew concluded 2018 by raising a total of S$3,580 for Guide Dogs Singapore Ltd.
